St. Isidore
New doors installed on a private Catholic school in Danville, CA
St. Isidore was in need of new doors for a couple of openings. CLAD was approached to assess and provide an estimate for new doors and premium hardware on a front entry storefront pair and back hollow metal pair. While onsite, CLAD was informed that St Isidore was also looking into installing an ACS system to bolster security on their campus. CLAD was asked to provide an estimate for a networked ACS system. St Isidore’s Facilities and IT Team was already familiar with and interested in learning more about Avigilon Alta, CLAD’s high security and easy to use and manage, high tech ACS partner.
The CLAD team spent time developing an efficient and fun working relationship with St Isidore and their stellar Facilities Management and IT team. Ultimately, St Isidore chose CLAD as their partner for the door and hardware component as well as the ACS component of their security project.

The Solution
In the end, our team replaced two of St Isidore’s openings, including the storefront and rear hollow metal doors, and installed Avigilon Alta (Access Control) on several other openings.
For the storefront doors, we used Von Duprin surface vertical rods to provide panic bar functionality for high-traffic use. Then we installed Jackson overhead concealed closers to ensure the fit was tight enough for the vertical rod to engage, without adding more bulky hardware.
For the rear doors, we installed 18g galvanized hollow metal doors with view lite and mullions.
We also installed an Avigilon Alta hub, readers, and electric strikes throughout the property.
Scope of Project
This project took about (1) month to complete from beginning to completion. This was due to materials delivery schedule as well as ensuring installation was planned around the facility’s busy educational calendar.
