ACS and electrified door hardware installation for Tracy Surgery Center
When the Tracy Surgery Center decided it was time to update their facility’s access control, they turned to us.
Tracy Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center, offering independent healthcare services focusing on outpatient surgery. With surgeons specializing in everything from orthopedics and podiatry to gastroenterology, urology, and spinal surgery, it was important for them to replace their unreliable keypad lock system. Their goal was to make access easy and convenient for their medical team, while also making the system trackable and accountable.

The Solution: Avigilon Alta Access Control
To meet all of the surgery center’s needs, we installed an Avigilon Alta Access Control system with a reader and electrified exit devices.
The Avigilon Alta ACS system allows their entire team to enter using only their mobile devices, making it simple to manage a dynamic team. This system can also scale to handle a larger staff in the future, it’s cloud based for extra security and reliability, it’s touchless for safety and convenience, and it’s extremely secure. It also allows staff to easily and remotely monitor, restrict, grant, and log access.
We also installed a keypad to offer even more flexibility to their access control. The keypad allows staff to quickly grant and revoke access codes, which is perfect for temporary access.
Scope of Project
Installation for this project took two days. For this installation, we also had to run new wire and diagnose older wiring, which previously powered a door operator.
Feedback
Our main point of contact was happy to work with us throughout the process, and said that their team enjoyed how easy their new system was to use.
While our main point of contact has since left the company, our system has not required any ongoing support to keep it fully operational. It just keeps working, like a good access control system should.
